A human (that’s me in the photo) heavily researches science, written by humans, to use in my stories. I verify and cross-check my sources to ensure the facts are accurate before adding them to the plot. No AI guessing.

A human (also me) writes these books. Every stinking word. Then I tweak and fuss and refine them after receiving feedback from my human beta readers.

A human edits them.

A human creates the covers.

A human typesets them.

I use em dashes (gasp), and I have since the age of seven, primarily for dramatic pauses in my terrible yet earnest poetry.

I do run my manuscripts through a spelling and grammar program. If there is a mistake, it’s because I’ve read them so many times (so many times) that my eyes have crossed and my brain has jumped the errors.
